Key Takeaways

1. Embrace New Beginnings and the Power of Innocence

Today I begin anew. I see through the eyes of innocence.

Fresh opportunities. Each day presents a chance to surpass limits and step into our highest identity. Like Dana Carvey's character in "Clean Slate," we can choose to forgive and forget the past, embracing the present moment with childlike innocence.

Releasing the past. The past has no power to affect what we do now. We are entirely new people, different from who we were. This year has never been lived before, and we have never had the consciousness we now possess.

Think big thoughts. We are setting sail on a great adventure determined only by how grand we are willing to think. This year, think big thoughts to create miraculous results.

2. Action Over Intention: Manifesting Dreams Through Doing

Beginning makes the conditions perfect.

Action over planning. While discussions and plans are important, only action will manifest a project. Don't wait until all conditions are perfect to begin.

Beginning creates perfection. The act of starting sets the stage for success. As Buddha said, the two fatal errors are not finishing and not starting.

Trust in the process. Step forward with the trust that Spirit is moving through you to create good. Work through your hands to bring about the things that will serve the greater good.

3. Trust the Universe: Surrender and Capitalize on the Flow

I am always in the presence of love. Everything that happens to me is a part of the plan for my good.

Universe's guidance. When faced with situations beyond your control, trust that the universe is working on your behalf. Fighting what is only diminishes your power.

Relax and let go. Like the man who relaxed and let the river carry him, surrender to the torrent and allow the universe to deposit you where you need to be. The sage capitalizes on the energy at hand and makes it work on his behalf.

Divine presence. Remember that the Divine is present in all situations, guiding you home even when you cannot see how. Trust that everything that happens is part of the plan for your good.

4. Love Beyond Comfort: The Exhilaration of Selfless Service

When I give love to another, I feed my own soul.

Love dissolves borders. Love flows beyond human borders and dissolves the fears that keep us separate. When we stretch to serve another, we grow to live in a larger, more rewarding world.

Opportunity in discomfort. Move beyond your comfort zone to connect with the hearts of others. Like offering to feed a stranger, these acts of service can be exhilarating.

Giving is receiving. By giving what you want, you get it all. Love always flows beyond human borders and dissolves the fears that keep us separate.

5. Decisiveness and Conviction: The Stand for Your Truth

My power comes from being what I am.

Life supports decisions. Life will support you in your decisions, but you have to make a decision around which the universe can gather. Often it is better to make a wrong decision than no decision.

Be fully in life. Don't sit around wondering what you might do until it is too late to do anything. Live life with conviction and a whole heart.

Active, not reactive. Live by choice, not self-protection. Be active rather than reactive. Make a stand for your truth, and your truth will make a stand for you.

6. Dissolving Limits: Stepping into the Light of Limitless Potential

I am bigger than fear. I step forward and live in the light.

Love over fear. Fear tells us that we are small, powerless, and separate. Love affirms that we are great, creative, and connected.

Facing limits. The way to dissolve a limit is to step right up to it and look it in the eye. When we shine the light on the darkness, we see that the thing we ran from had power over us only as long as we kept it at a distance.

Unlimited potential. You can do anything you choose; you were not born to live in fear, but in love. Step forward and live in the light.

7. Inner Peace Over Worldly Glory: The True Measure of Achievement

I am a spiritual being. I nourish my spirit and I am fed.

Spiritual awakening. All worldly glory pales in comparison to spiritual awakening. It is your inner life that you need to come to terms with.

Inner life matters most. No matter what accolades you achieve in the outer world, it is your inner life you need to come to terms with. Overcoming personal challenges is a far greater achievement than any worldly success.

Nourish your spirit. Should you be tempted to trade inner peace for worldly glory, remember that it's what's inside that counts. Nourish your spirit and you are fed.

8. Expressing Love Courageously: A Stand for Manifesting Dreams

I stand for love, and love stands for me.

Love moves the universe. Love is the power that moves the universe, and it is the aching need of our world. If only we stood for love as we have for fear!

Bold expression. Imagine how the world would be different if we all made such a stand to manifest our dreams. Practice expressing your love courageously.

Giving is getting. Be a love giver rather than a love seeker. In giving what you want, you have gotten it all.

9. The Point of Power: Excitement, Fear, and Growth

Powered by enthusiasm, I step forward to greater things.

Excitement and fear. If you feel both excited and scared, that is the right next step. If you're just excited and not afraid, there is no challenge, no stretching, no initiation.

Cutting edge. You owe it to yourself, your loved ones, and your clients to stay on your cutting edge. If your career or relationship is a bore, step back and ask yourself what it would take to make it exciting.

Intersection of power. Ask yourself what it would take to make it scary. The intersection of the two answers is your point of power.

10. Quality Over Quantity: The Value of Wholehearted Presence

My presence is the present. I give my whole heart, and I find true reward.

One frog per hand. Many try to do so many things at once that they don't get any of them done well. Instead of expanding with creative joy, they succumb to "Management by Emergency."

Quality attention. To be a true healer, teacher, minister, parent, or business person, you will gain more in the long run by giving your clients quality attention. To be successful, no matter what your vocation, you must be fully present with whatever you're doing.

Wholehearted moments. Life is best lived one wholehearted moment at a time. Live a quality life by saying yes to what belongs to you and letting all else go.

11. Healing Fear with Love: Dismantling Blocks to Intimacy

I open my heart to all the love there is.

Love calls forth fear. True love calls forth everything unlike itself. If you love someone a great deal, you will bump up against the blocks to love you have erected to protect yourself.

Hidden pain. Every person on the planet carries a hidden pool of pain and grief. Fear arises because it can be healed in an environment of love.

Dismantle the fence. The fence has been shown to you not to imprison you; you have already been imprisoned. Now it is time to dismantle it and be free.

12. Unbeatable Joy: Choosing Happiness Over External Circumstances

My happiness depends on me. I choose joy now.

Choosing joy. No one can take away your happiness unless you give it to them. People may say all manner of things about you or try to hurt you, but unless you choose to be hurt, they cannot rob you of your good.

Offense is taken. When you feel hurt by another, you are only hurting yourself. "Offense is something you can only take but never give."

Unbeatable in love. Experiment with finding blessings wherever you go. In love, you are unbeatable.
