Inspired by Agatha Christie, she began writing mystery stories at a young age.
Stevens attended Cheltenham Ladies' College and later studied crime fiction at university.
She is best known for her Murder Most Unladylike series, which includes titles like Arsenic for Tea and First Class Murder.
Stevens also wrote The Guggenheim Mystery, a sequel to Siobhan Dowd's work.
Her books often feature young detectives solving crimes in historical settings.
She currently resides in England with her husband and pet bearded dragon.
