Rain Pryor
Rain Pryor is the daughter of comedian Richard Pryor and Jewish go-go dancer Shelley R. Bonis.
Born in Los Angeles, she was primarily raised by her Jewish maternal grandparents.
Rain faced rejection from both African American and Jewish communities, leading to her unique perspective on racism in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
This experience inspired her award-winning solo show, "Fried Chicken and Latkes." Rain has openly discussed her conflicted feelings about her biracial identity, often using humor to address the topic.
She attended Beverly Hills High School, graduating in 1987.
