Katherine Zoepf is an American journalist and author who spent several years living and working in the Middle East.
From 2004 to 2007, she was based in Syria and Lebanon as a stringer for The New York Times, and also worked in the newspaper's Baghdad bureau in 2008.
Zoepf's writing has appeared in various publications, including The New Yorker and The New York Times Magazine.
She holds degrees from Princeton University and the London School of Economics.
Since 2010, Zoepf has been a fellow at New America, a think tank.
Originally from Cincinnati, she now resides in Manhattan with her two children.
