Caitlin Moran
Caitlin Moran is a British writer who began her career at a young age, publishing her first novel at 15 and joining Melody Maker at 16.
She spent 18 years as a columnist for The Times, winning multiple British Press Awards.
Moran grew up in a large, home-educated family in Wolverhampton.
She developed an interest in feminism early on, partly to prove her superiority to her brother.
Born Catherine, she chose the name Caitlin after encountering it in a Jilly Cooper novel at age 13, though she pronounces it as "Catlin." Her unconventional background and early success in journalism have shaped her unique voice as a writer.
